Announcements

MBTA Community Recycling Event will be held Saturday, October 20th at the Kingston Commuter Rail parking lot on Marion Drive from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is open to all communities.  T.V.s will cost 35 cents per pound.  All other electronics, metals, toys, appliances, yard and power equipment will be free.  For more information see the town website www.hanson-ma.gov or call 617-222-5750.

Hanson Historical Society will be hosting a Treasures Appraisal at the Hanson Public Library on Saturday, October 20th at 1:00 p.m.   Limit three items per person.

Camp Fire 5K Bog Jog & Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday, October 21st at Camp Kiwanee.  Check in is at 8:00 a.m. and the race starts at 9:00 a.m. Registration for the Bog Jog is $25.00 and can be completed on line at www.racewire.com/campfirebogjog.  Family Fun day activities start at 10:00 a.m.  The cost is $5.00 per person with a $20.00 family maximum.  For more information go to www.campfireusa-emass.org.

Hanson Children’s Museum will be hosting a Ladies Night Out on Thursday, October 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Hanson Senior Center.  Tickets are $10.00.  For more information call 781-635-6318

Absentee ballots are now available in the Town Clerk’s office for the State Election to be held on Tuesday, November 6th.  Any registered voter who is unable to vote on election day, may obtain an absentee ballot at the Town Clerk’s or by mail.  Applications for absentee ballots will be accepted until noon on Monday, November 5th.  For more information call the Town Clerk at 781-293-2772
